740This course represents an overview of the structural causes for lower back pain, man’s most common complaint. The lower back is like the foundation of a house in that it supports the entire body above it and operates like an engine for the legs below it. There are several ways the lower back can become compromised which may include anterior or posterior pelvic tilting, sidebending of the lumbar spine, torsions of the sacral base, restrictions in the sacroiliac joints, and a compromised connection between the last lumbar vertebra and the sacral base. Students will become proficient in first assessing and then treating these structural dysfunctions.
